ALL: Finale for Christmas Concert
The following song will be the last song in our Christmas performance. Each class will come out in a line for a final bow then move to the back of the stage (except Kindergarten) so the rest of the students can come on. Eventually, everyone will be onstage singing and grooving together.
Kindergartens will be seated on the risers in front of the stage first, then 5/6s with their Grade 2 buddies, then 4/5, then 3/4, then 2/3, then each Grade 1 class. Grade 6/7 dragon members and stage hands will come next, and any characters with spoken lines will come out last (Dragon, Elizabeth, Ronald). After the song finishes, curtains close.

Tableaux+
The grade 6/7 class will be learning about the dramatic form of tableaux. A tableaux is like a frozen picture made out of people acting in a certain way to tell a story or show meaning. The actors pose carefully and hold their bodies very still. Below you will see many examples.

Found Sound
A found sound is an instrument that is not usually used as an instrument. For example, this video shows two girls using a piece of recycling for percussion. Think it's easy? We'll try it today.
Have you heard of DrawAStickman.com? They have a new episode! If you haven't, you should check it out.

September Goals
Hello and welcome back!
I am so excited to see you all again and get started in Fine Arts. We will be spending the first week catching up, thinking about our time together, and setting some goals for the year. To help you think about "reaching for the stars" in Fine Arts, I am going to ask each student to:
1. Trace your arm
2. Fill up your arm with your Fine Arts hopes and dreams for the year. What do you want to do this year in Drama, Dance, and Music? You might write words or sentences, draw pictures and cartoons, use music symbols - it's up to you.
3. Ink your arm with colours or Sharpies.
4. Cut out your arm.
I will post all of your arms on the wall in the Fine Arts room and, at the end of the year, we can see if we met our goals.
